I picked the Blue Dancer because I think its really pretty and the pose of the dancer is interesting. Its simple but mystifying in a way. My piece is a jester like character in the same pose and similar color standing on a marble base. I kept the details that I felt were important, like the pose and color palette and came up with something I felt was more like me. I developed my art making skills by using oil pastels, chalk pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paint. I think that was one of the times I used the most mediums! I faced some challenges like awkward hand placements and messy fingerprints from charcoal and chalk pastel but I was able to incorporate some of my mistakes into my final product. I ended up going over the oil pastel with black watercolor to cover up imperfections and it actually looked really cool!
